Blue Cash Preferred fees

Annual Fee

The Blue Cash Preferred has a $0 annual fee the first year, then $95. See Rates & Fees

If you pay for the Disney Bundle and can make use of the monthly credit, you will make up almost all of this fee and easily more than that with the 6% you'll earn on streaming services for anything spent over the allotted credit.

That aside, you will break even at about $132 in monthly U.S. supermarket shopping. If you spend more than that per month, and most people do, you can easily make up for the annual fee with little effort. Maxing out the bonus is $500 per month which is $360 in Rewards Dollars every year.

Authorized User Fee

The Blue Cash Preferred does not have an authorized user fee. If you have family or friends that frequent U.S. supermarkets or spend across any of the other categories featured on the card, you can easily earn lots of cash back every year.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The Blue Cash Preferred has a 2.7% foreign transaction fee which makes it a bad choice for international travel and spending — most of the categories are U.S.-specific anyway.
