The best credit card transfer partner for Delta SkyMiles will be American Express Membership Rewards due to the 1:1 transfer ratio.

AMEX Membership Rewards credit cards

Points earned with American Express Membership Rewards credit cards can be converted into Delta SkyMiles at a rate of 1:1. Every 1,000 AMEX points you transfer will give you 1,000 SkyMiles.

American Express Membership Rewards is hands-down the best option for anyone that frequently travels with Delta as you'll typically be able to build up SkyMiles significantly fast via intro bonuses and everyday spending. On top of that, you'll be able to enjoy Delta Sky Club access with both of the personal and business version of AMEX's Platinum cards.

Marriott Bonvoy credit cards

Marriott Bonvoy offers six co-branded credit cards that you can use to earn points transferable to the Delta SkyMiles program. Bonvoy points can transferred at a 3:1 ratio meaning that 3,000 points can be converted into 1,000 Delta SkyMiles.

Marriott Bonvoy members can earn up to 23.5 Marriott Bonvoy points per $1 spent at Marriott properties. When converted to Delta SkyMiles, this comes out to 7.83 miles per $1 spent which is a fantastic rate. So if you're a Marriott and Delta loyalist, you can heavily benefit from combining both of these programs.

World of Hyatt credit cards

Hyatt offers three co-branded credit cards that you can use to earn Hyatt points on everyday purchases. These points can be transferred to Delta SkyMiles at a 2.5:1 ratio meaning that every 2,500 Hyatt points you transfer will give you 1,000 Delta SkyMiles.

You will also receive a bonus 5,000 Delta SkyMiles for every 50,000 Hyatt points you transfer in a single transaction. So a 50,000 Hyatt point transfer would net you a total of 25,000 SkyMiles.

Due to Hyatt points having such high value, this is far from the best use of Hyatt points, but it could be useful if you're a few SkyMiles short of a redemption and really need to top off your account.

IHG One Rewards credit cards

There are 3 credit cards in the IHG One Rewards program that you can use to earn points transferable to Delta at a 5:1 rate. Every 5,000 IHG points you transfer will give you 1,000 Delta SkyMiles.

IHG's credit cards can earn you up to 10X points per $1 spent at IHG properties which is equal to 2X Delta SkyMiles. It can be a decent way to top off your account if you're really in need of miles.

Hilton Honors credit cards

Hilton Honors offers 4 credit cards that you can use to earn Hilton Honors points transferable to Delta SkyMiles. Points can be transferred at a 10:1 rate meaning that 10,000 Hilton Honors points will give you 1,000 Delta SkyMiles.

While this doesn't sound like that good of a transfer ratio, you can easily earn over 30 Hilton Honors points per $1 spent at Hilton's properties when you use their premium credit cards. This is equal to 3X Delta SkyMiles which is a pretty solid earning rate — especially if you redeem your SkyMiles for good value.

Calculator Options

Year 1 or Year 2+?

Year 1 - Calculate how much you will earn in your first year of being a cardmember. Includes Intro Bonuses (if toggled on) and will use the free or reduced first year annual fees for any cards that have them.

Year 2+ - Calculate how much the card will be worth the 2nd year and onward. Automatically turns off intro bonuses and will ignore first year free/reduced annual fees.

Include Intro Bonuses?

If set to yes, intro bonuses will be included for a card's calculation ONLY IF you have met the monthly spend criteria based on what's entered into the tool.

Note: We do not have intro bonuses for all credit cards (mainly partners and popular credit cards), and we cannot calculate intro bonuses for some cards due to the complexity of some spend requirements.

Authorized Users

Some banks charge an additional fee to add family, friends, or employees to the credit card account. If you plan on adding authorized users to your credit card(s), you can enter that amount here.

Note: Some credit cards have a cap on how many authorized users you can add. While we do keep track of the fee structures, we do not keep track of caps. So be sure to check the rates and fees before applying.

Calculate Foreign Transaction Fees?

Many cards will charge you a foreign transaction fee when making purchases in a foreign currency. This is typically between 2.5% and 3% for most credit cards.

If set to yes, we will calculate the estimated fee for any spend entered into the calculator that is considered foreign. This amount will appear in the calculations as well.

Note: We do not have the foreign transaction fee rates for all credit cards.
