Transferring Points To and From Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

Virgin Atlantic is a direct transfer partner of three major U.S. credit card rewards programs: Chase Ultimate Rewards, American Express Membership Rewards, and Citi ThankYou Rewards. You can also transfer points from Bilt Rewards and a handful of hotel loyalty programs.

Here's the list of Virgin Atlantic transfer partners:

AMEX points to Virgin Atlantic

American Express Membership Rewards Points can be transferred to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at a 1:1 ratio. Every 1,000 AMEX Points you transfer to Virgin Atlantic will give you 1,000 Virgin Points.

Chase points to Virgin Atlantic

Chase Ultimate Rewards Points can be transferred to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at a 1:1 ratio. Every 1,000 Chase Points you transfer to Virgin Atlantic will give you 1,000 Virgin Points.

Points earned with Chase's cash back credit cards can also be used to earn Virgin Atlantic points as long as you have an eligible Ultimate Rewards credit card.

Citi points to Virgin Atlantic

If you have the Citi Strata Premier℠ Card or Citi Prestige Card, you will be able to transfer Citi ThankYou Points to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at a 1:1 ratio. Every 1,000 Citi Points you transfer to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club will give you 1,000 Virgin Points.

You cannot transfer points to Virgin Atlantic using Citi's other point-earning credit cards, but you can transfer those points to the Citi Strata Premier Card or Citi Prestige Card and then transfer them to Virgin Atlantic.

Bilt points to Virgin Atlantic

You can transfer Bilt Rewards points to Virgin Atlantic at a 1:1 ratio. Every 2,000 Bilt Rewards points you transfer will give you 2,000 Virgin points.

Bilt is most known for allowing you to earn points pay rent with no transaction fee. This is a great (and free) program. I highly suggest it if you're able to pay rent by credit card as you can use the Bilt Mastercard to do so. You can also use Bilt's complimentary checking/routing number to pay as well!

Marriott points to Virgin Atlantic

Marriott Bonvoy points can be transferred to Virgin Atlantic at a 3:1 ratio. Every 3,000 Marriott Bonvoy points you transfer to Virgin Atlantic will give you 1,000 Virgin points.

You will also earn a 15,000-Marriott Bonvoy point bonus for every 60,000-point block of points you transfer in a single transaction. This comes out to being a bonus 5,000 Virgin points at the 3:1 rate.

So a 60,000-Marriott Bonvoy point transfer would net you a total of 25,000 Virgin points — 20,000 points from the 3:1 transfer plus the 5,000 bonus points.

Transfers to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

Virgin Atlantic Flying Club points can be converted into Hilton Honors points and IHG One Rewards points. This is far from the best use of Virgin points, but it is an option if you really need to top off your accounts with these programs.
