Annual Fee

The American Express Business Platinum Card has a $799 annual fee.

If you can make use of all $820 in annual credits, you'll make up for the annual fee and be able to enjoy the benefits of the card for practically free.

Even if you can't use all the credits, the card offers over $1,000 in value through other benefits including complimentary status, special benefits at the airport, discounts booking through their hotel programs, and, of course, the superb lounge access.

Authorized User Fee

Adding additional Business Platinum Cards will cost $250 annually.

These cardholders will be able to enjoy their own complimentary statuses with Marriott, Hilton, Hertz, and Avis, enjoy access to lounges in the American Express Global Lounge Collection, partake in the protections provided by the card's travel and purchase insurance, be able to earn points on all eligible purchases, and more.

If you want additional cardholders to only be able to earn points on purchases, additional Business Gold Cards can be added to the account for $0 annually, up to a maximum of $99 cards.

Foreign Transaction Fee

The American Express Business Platinum Card has a foreign transaction fee of 2.5%. This means you will be penalized when using the card to make purchases that are not in Canadian Dollars.
