Rewards Details
- Based on our valuations, Aventura Points have an average value of 1.5 to 2.28 cents per point when redeemed for flights using the Aventura Airline Rewards Chart.
- Airfare not booked through the Aventura Airline Rewards Chart and all other travel redemptions will give you 1 cent in value per point.

Do note that any foreign currencies selected will automatically be converted to the card's default currency when calculating rewards.
Currency Name
Add Status / Loyalty
You can add elite status to one or more columns. This allows you to calculate the extra points you would receive from having status with that program.
If the status is already added, you can update the currency the status is based on by specifying a different currency than what the one in the calculator already has.
NOTE: Elite status is automatically added to the calculator for most credit cards that grant it.

Earning Rates
The CIBC U.S. Dollar Aventura Gold Visa Card earns Aventura points at the following rates:
- 1 point for every $1 spent on travel purchased through the CIBC Rewards Centre.
- 1 point for every $2 spent on all other purchases.
Anything charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD) or any other foreign currency that is not United Stated Dollars (USD) is subjected to the conversion fee. Both credit and debit transactions must be made in USD.

Annual Fee
The CIBC U.S. Dollar Aventura Gold Visa Card has a US$35 annual fee.
Enjoy an annual fee rebate if you have a CIBC US$ Personal Account or a CIBC Bank USA Smart Account, and a premium CIBC personal credit card.
Authorized User Fee
Adding authorized users to the CIBC U.S. Dollar Aventura Card will cost you $0 for up to 3 additional cards.
Foreign Transaction Fee
The CIBC U.S. Dollar Aventura Gold Visa Card has a 2.5% foreign transaction fee on all purchases that are not in United States Dollars. Purchases made in Canadian Dollars and any other currency that is not United States Dollars, will be subjected to the fee.
