Fees

Annual Fee

The Platinum Card has a £650 annual fee.

If you're able to use the £400 in annual credits, you'll be able to knock down the effective cost a good bit.

If you can't make use of the credits, the card still offers exceptional value that far exceeds it's annual fee in my opinion. The lounge access, benefits through Fine Hotel + Resorts and The Hotel Collection, complimentary elite status, and travel insurance are all quite valuable.

Of course, how valuable these are depends on how you travel and how often you travel. If you can't make use of the card's main benefits, then the annual fee will be a painful pill to swallow.

Authorized User Fee

The first Platinum supplementary card is provided at no additional charge. All additional Platinum supplementary cards will cost £285 per card, per year.

Outside of the annual credits, Platinum supplementary cardholders receive access to most of the main benefits of the card. This includes Global airport lounge access, the ability to enjoy benefits through The Hotel Collection and Fine Hotels + Resorts, their own complimentary elite status with hotels and car rental agencies, and access to the top-notch insurance the card offers.

Non-sterling Purchase Fee

The Platinum Card has a non-sterling purchase fee of 2.99%. This means that you will be penalized when using this card to make purchases that are not in Pound sterling.
