Rewards Details
- MBNA Rewards points earned with the MBNA Rewards Platinum Plus Mastercard are worth 1 cent each towards travel. This means that every 10,000 points you earn are worth $100.

Currency Codes
Any currencies you add to the tool will be selectable when entering spend into the Spend Categories section of the calculator.
Do note that any foreign currencies selected will automatically be converted to the card's default currency when calculating rewards.
Currency Name
Add Status / Loyalty
You can add elite status to one or more columns. This allows you to calculate the extra points you would receive from having status with that program.
If the status is already added, you can update the currency the status is based on by specifying a different currency than what the one in the calculator already has.
NOTE: Elite status is automatically added to the calculator for most credit cards that grant it.

- 2 points for every $1 spent on eligible restaurant, grocery, digital media, membership, and household utility purchases, on up to $10,000 in annual spend for each individual category.
- 1 point for every $1 spent on all other purchases.

- Birthday Bonus Points: Receive 10% of the points earned the 12 months prior to the primary cardholder's birthday month — up to a max 10,000 bonus points per year.
- Avis & Budget Savings: Save a minimum of 10% off the base rates in Canada and the U.S., and a minimum of 5% off the base rates internationally, on qualifying car rentals at participating Avis and Budget locations.
- Purchase Insurance: Mobile Device Insurance, Purchase Assurance, and Extended Warranty Benefits.

Annual Fee
The MBNA Rewards Platinum Plus Mastercard has a $0 annual fee.
Authorized User Fee
There is no fee to add authorized users to the MBNA Rewards Platinum Plus Mastercard.
Foreign Transaction Fee
The MBNA Rewards Platinum Plus Mastercard has a foreign currency conversion fee of 2.5%. This means you will be penalized when using this card to make purchases that are not in Canadian Dollars.
