Air New Zealand transfer partners
Air New Zealand is a direct transfer partner of several credit card rewards and hotel rewards programs. This gives you a handful of additional ways to earn Airpoints spending with partners and transferring those rewards to your Airpoints account.
Here's the list of programs you can use to earn Airpoints:
AMEX points to Airpoints
American Express Membership Rewards points can be converted into Airpoints at a 200:1 ratio. Every 200 AMEX points you transfer will give you 1 Airpoint Dollar.
At the standard redemption, AMEX points are worth 0.5 cents each so this is an even transfer BUT you can transfer AMEX points to other select partners to obtain higher value.
Altitude points to Airpoints
Westpac Altitude Rewards points can be converted into Airpoints at a 180:1 ratio. Every 180 Altitude Rewards points you transfer will give you 1 Airpoints Dollar.
Altitude points are worth about 0.5 cents apiece when redeemed directly with Westpac, so transferring $0.90 worth of points (180 points) for $1 with Air New Zealand is not too bad.
ANZ points to Airpoints
ANZ Rewards points can be converted into Airpoints at a 200:1 ratio. Every 200 ANZ points you transfer will give you 1 Airpoints Dollar.
With ANZ Rewards points being worth 0.5 cents each on average, you're looking at a 1:1 transfer ratio in terms of value — though it may be possible to get higher value with other partners.
